Brad Paisley’s Best Duets
It seems like everyone from [lastfm]Alison Krauss [/lastfm]to [lastfm]Alan Jackson [/lastfm]have played with [lastfm]Brad Paisley[/lastfm] on a duet. Even his hosting partner [lastfm]Carrie Underwood [/lastfm]has recorded a duet with the ever-loveable prankster! It’s clear Brad plays well with others, and we have the proof!
To prime you for Brad’s November 3rd streaming concert on Live on Letterman, we’re taking a look at some of Brad’s best duets.
“Start A Band” by [lastfm]Brad Paisley [/lastfm]with [lastfm]Keith Urban[/lastfm]
Brad wrote in the liner notes on the album “”People have been asking for years when Keith and I would do something like this. I am so honored to get to finally pick and sing with one of my favorite players in the world. I am so humbled by his talent.” With two serious guitar players/singers, it’s one of our favorite power duets!
“Whiskey Lullaby” by [lastfm]Brad Paisley [/lastfm]with [lastfm]Alison Krauss[/lastfm]
“Whiskey Lullaby” is the other end of the spectrum from “Start A Band.” Brad’s serious and smooth vocals match the haunting and beautiful vocals of Alison Krauss perfectly. It’s one of the saddest country songs there is, and they do it beautifully together.
“When I Get Where I’m Going” by [lastfm]Brad Paisley [/lastfm]with[lastfm] Dolly Parton[/lastfm]
This may be the best duet Brad has ever done! Everyone loves Dolly, right? But Brad’s deep voice in contrast to Dolly gives us instant chills! Plus, this is such a great video, showing Michael Reagan, holding a picture of his dad Ronald Reagan, and Teresa Earnhardt, sitting in front of a portrait of her late-husband, NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt. Dolly’s holding a picture of a her grandfather, Rev. Jake Owens, and [lastfm]John Carter Cash [/lastfm]is holding a picture of his parents, [lastfm]Johnny Cash[/lastfm] and [lastfm]June Carter Cash[/lastfm]. Take a look.
Don’t forget to tune in right here at 8PM ET/ 5 PM PT on Novemeber 3rd to watch Brad perform a free streaming concert for our series Live on Letterman.
