Brad Paisley is goin’ down to South Park and gonna have himself a time!
That’s right, Brad got animated for an upcoming episode of the hit Comedy Central show. The episode airs tonight (Wednesday April 25) at 10pm EST.
The country prankster is featured in two scenes, one where he is singing the national anthem before the Denver Nuggets basketball game and later he is singing a duet with Cartman.
Judging from Brad’s tweets, he is very excited that he is on the show once again. He appeared on an episode back in October 2011, but as a voice for a small boy. He told CMT that he was just “one of the kids in the background. But my name is in the credits, you know? And I’m floored. I can’t believe I got to do that.”
This time Brad is a full blown character and shared what he will look like in tonight’s episode.
And of course, he got his photo taken with Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny.
Celebs and musicians who appear on the show are usually impersonated, but some have lent their voices for parts. George Clooney provided the barks for Stan’s dog Sparky, Jay Leno provided the meows for Cartman’s cat, and Henry Winkler voiced a kid-eating monster in an episode. Jerry Seinfield declined to lend his voice because he was only offered the role of Turkey #2. No Turkey #1 for you, Jerry!
The biggest episode for actual musical guests was in Season two, during an episode called “Chef Aid.” Rick James, Elton John, Meat Loaf, Ozzy Osbourne, Joe Strummer, Primus, Rancid, and Ween all guest starred and performed briefly.
If you miss the episode with Brad tonight, you can catch it online at SouthParkStudios.com later this week. Here’s hoping that he doesn’t kill Kenny.
