Organizers of the Taste of Country concert in Buffalo, New York decided to play it safe on Friday. But, ended up making a lot of Eric Church fans angry.

The concert was stopped after strong winds threatened the stage. Fans had been waiting in heavy rain for hours when the concert was cancelled. Some fans of Church threw chairs onto the stage and dumped them into large piles.

In a statement, Church said he was “bummed” about the cancellation, but is planning on rescheduling his show. The weather was reminiscent of the Sugarland show at the Indiana State Fair in August, 2011 when high winds caused the stage to collapse, killing 7 and injuring over 40.
