Last week LeAnn Rimes learned of a helpless puppy, left abandoned on a busy street. Her friend, Karla Hoffman, rescued the dog from the side of the road, but couldn’t keep the cuddly little pup.
In an effort to locate the puppy a new home, she posted this message on Twitter:
LeAnn Rimes was the first to respond to the post, and after a few questions, Rimes rescued the dog, giving it a permanent home with her family.
“We ALL fell in love at first sight,” announced Rimes, according to People. “Even our doggies welcomed her instantly.”
Rimes’ stepsons Mason, 9, and Jake, 5, especially love the new addition to their family, naming the puppy Eveie.
The name was selected by Mason, who had been holding onto the name suggestion in case he ever had a baby sister.
It may not be a sister, but the puppy is still bringing them happiness.
“Mason says she came just in time for Thanksgiving,” said Rimes.
Feeling truly thankful this holiday season, Rimes added, “She’s brought a ton of joy into our home in just the few hours she’s been with us. Eveie has a new home and family and we have a new love!”
Today, Rimes even posted a video of her furry friend. Watch it here.
