Carrie Underwood recently donated all the proceeds from her concert in New Jersey to the Hurricane Sandy relief and now Bucky Covington and Shooter Jennings are jumping on board.

Today Covington announced on his Facebook page that if you download his and Shooter Jennings’ single “Drinking Side of Country” for just $1.00, every cent will go directly to firefighters affected by Hurricane Sandy.

“A rowdy, rockin’ song that will have you singing along!” writes Covington on his Facebook page. “All proceeds from the download of this single through December 31, 2012 will be donated to help the firefighters that lost their homes during Super Storm Sandy.”

Directly benefiting from their generosity is Help the Good Guys (HTGG), an organization that strives to help families of injured or fallen firefighters in crisis.

Covington has always had a special place in his heart for people who put their lives on the line every day. Along with this donation, he is also the official spokesman for HTGG, which is endorsed by the International Association of Fight Fighters (IAFF).
