LeAnn Rimes Blames 13-Year-Old Carly Rose For Bad Performance On X Factor
If you caught The X Factor earlier this week, you might already be aware of the questionable performance by LeAnn Rimes.
Rimes joined Carly Rose Sonenclar on stage to sing her song, “How Do I Live.”
Although the judges seemed pleased with the duet, several fans who watched the show speculated that Rimes was intoxicated during the performance.
If you haven’t seen it yet, watch it here:
Rimes soon became aware of her ridiculed performance and was quick to defend herself with TMZ. She insinuated Sonenclar was the problem, not her, saying the girl was “nervous” and “having some trouble with the song.”
Rimes also insisted she was not intoxicated and was only trying to help the teenager. Her lawyer Larry Stein agrees, adding, “LeAnn was not performing the way she would normally perform, because she was on stage with a young girl.”
Sonenclar’s mother is outraged that Rimes would blame her daughter for the performance. If anything, Sonenclar’s family believes Carly Rose out-performed Rimes on her own song.
LeAnn Rimes has since denied making any statements to TMZ.
