Blake Shelton ended 2012 by sitting in a comfy chair drinking “something” out of a red plastic cup.

He was nice enough to capture the moment on camera and even shared it on his Twitter account.

Now, with 2012 at its end, Blake Shelton kicked off the New Year by releasing a fresh new country song called, “It’d Sure Be Cool If You Did.” How did he find the time to record a new song in between making his Cheers! It’s Christmas album, touring and being on The Voice?

Listen to the full song here:

Much like how Shelton appeared to spend his New Year’s Eve, he opens the song with “I was gonna keep it real like chill like only have a drink or two / But it turned into a party when I started talking to you.”

Shelton was surprised when fans started sending him tweets that they not only had heard his newest song, but loved it too:

The song has only been available for a day or so, and of the 12,000+ views on YouTube, he’s only received 2 dislikes so far.

What do you think? Is this song going to soar to the top of the charts?
