Keith Urban is gearing up for his first stint as a judge on American Idol which starts next Wednesday. In fact the Idol crew will be on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight. But first, last night in L.A. Keith was at a private Spirit of Australia cocktail party when he jumped on stage with his guitar and performed a duet with John Travolta.

The two did an impromptu rendition of The Beatles’ “Yesterday.” John was urged on by cheers from party-goers and fellow attending celebrities like Miranda Kerr, Liam Hemsworth and his wife Nicole Kidman.
