When it comes to feuds in the music business between artists, country performers are usually not in the mix of things. Prior to the Grammy Awards, rumors were swirling about a so-called “feud” between Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood.
Us Weekly reported that Grammy organizers had been instructed to keep the pair separate because “they hate each other.” However, a show rep told the magazine that no such requests had been made. CBS reporter Gayle King asked the “Blown Away” singer if there was any truth behind the reported riff.
“No! Not that I know of,” said Carrie, before explaining how rumors like that get started. “Every magazine, newspaper or gossip TV shows, they can just get away with it by saying a ‘source says’ or ‘a friend said’ or ‘an insider said.’ I’ve read the most ridiculous things about myself when people do that.”
Apparently the alleged feud started when Carrie and Brad Paisley made fun of Taylor’s break up with Conor Kennedy as the two co-hosted the CMA award show back in November.
I’ll keep you posted if anything else heats up between the ladies.
