This country singer tells Metro Service that after the newness wears off people often stop making their special someone a priority, after previously lavishing their significant other with lots of gifts, affection, and attention.

Urban says he believes that “just staying present” is key to sustaining a relationship. He explains that it’s important for couples to maintain a certain level of romance and not start taking the feelings they have for each other for granted. Keith seems to be doing well in keeping the love alive between him and wife Nicole Kidman.

This Thursday will be their seventh Valentine’s Day as a married couple. Keith will be in Sacramento at Sleep Train Amphitheater September 22nd.
