Do you ever wonder how artists control their emotions when performing emotional songs for fans?

Lee Brice says he has to be careful when he’s performing his current hit, “I Drive Your Truck.” The country star admits that it’s easy for him to get wrapped up in the song’s emotional message, which makes it difficult to sing. This is what Lee told Metro Source:

“I Drive Your Truck” is about a man coping with the death of his brother who was killed in combat. But Brice says that for him the song sparks memories of his grandfather and of his brother Lewis, who’s still alive. Lewis is also featured in the song’s video.

Lee’s next performance challenge is coming up tonight, when he opens the show for Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley in Ames, Iowa.
