Miranda Lambert, Brett Eldredge, Maddie and Tae, Kelsea Ballerini and Easton Corbin are among the country artists you’ll see during the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade tomorrow in downtown New York City.
Easton gave us a quick call this morning–we wanted to get his thoughts on St. Jude Children’s Hospital since our radio-thon is coming up in a couple weeks. But before we talked about that (and you’ll hear what he had to say during the event), we asked him about the honor of being in such a storied tradition as the Macy’s parade.
“It was always on in the background, always part of the holidays growing up.” He told us. To be a part of it now? “It’s a really cool experience.”
Since Easton and the other artists will all be on moving floats, how exactly does performing before a constantly changing audience work? Pretty simple, actually.
“Basically, when you get to the camera at a certain spot you actually start singing. The rest of the time you’re just kinda waving.”
And even though it’s Thanksgiving, Easton said he’ll be getting his fill of a different kind of bird.
“I’ll be on the KFC float, with my bucket of chicken!”
The 90th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade airs at 9am Thanksgiving morning on Channel 3.
