Zac Brown Becomes Latest Humanitarian Award Winner

Zac Brown, the lead singer and front man of the Zac Brown Band, will receive the Country Radio Broadcasters’ CRS 2017 Artist Humanitarian Award.

According to CMT, this honor was formed in 1990 and is annually presented to artists who used their careers to help people in need and serve the greater good.

Zac Brown is being recognized for his continued work to support healthy childhood development through his non-profit, Camp Southern Ground. This camp has a state-of-the-art facility that offers many enrichment programs for children aged 7-17, and encompasses all races, religions, and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as kids with neuro-developmental disorders.

The Zac Brown Band also headlined Gatlinburg Mountain Tough Benefit to support local disaster relief following the Tennessee Wildfires.

Zac Brown is joining fellow CRS Award recipients Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, and Reba McEntire, among many others.

He will receive this honor at the Country Radio Broadcasters’ annual conference in Nashville on February 22nd.
