‘Nashville’ Premiere Scores Big Ratings On CMT

In a new report from Nashville Country Daily, hit country show Nashville has gained great ratings for it’s CMT premiere.

After moving over from ABC, Nashville‘s fifth season premiere drew in more than 2 million viewers on CMT. That total rises to 3.1 million people when including the encore on Nick at Nite and DVR totals. These ratings don’t even reflect Hulu viewers, which streamed the episode a day after it aired on CMT.

The premiere has also become CMT’s most watched original telecast in the channel’s history, and nearly tripled the network’s prime-time average.

While the ratings are down when compared to ABC’s average (the final season on ABC averaged 4.2 million live viewers per episode), things still look very promising for Nashville’s future!
