When you’re as busy as Carrie Underwood, it can be hard to stay in shape. However, Carrie herself has revealed her tips to look as amazing as she does!
In a new interview with Cosmopolitan, Carrie outlined a typical day in her life and included some of the workouts, meals, and snacks she often enjoys that help keep her looking so great.
For starters, she eats almost totally vegan. While she admits that she still indulges in cheese on rare occasions, she never eats meat. She also tracks all of the food she eats, as well as all the exercise she does, on her MyFitnessPal app. This has helped her make better choices when she’s eating because she otherwise becomes a “bottomless pit.”
She also revealed that she doesn’t eat out very often, preferring to to cook at home because then she knows exactly what’s going into her meal.
When it comes to working out, she likes to spend 10 to 15 minutes warming up before working out for an hour. To keep her workouts fresh and new, she uses a deck of playing cards with a different exercise listed on each card. While she admits there are days where she doesn’t really want to work out, she always tries to do something, even if it’s small.
When it comes to snacks, English muffins with peanut butter, seitan jerky, bags of cereal, and No Cow Bars are a favorite of hers. If she’s feeling like she wants something sweeter, dark chocolate, vegan So Delicious Ice Cream, or coconut milk ice cream are her go-to options.
