Dog Food Has Been Recalled, May Have Euthanasia Drug

For anyone with a dog, please take caution. According to CBS Baltimore, the dog food brand Evanger’s dog food has been recalled. There has been traces of penobarbital, a drug that although is helpful to dogs with epilepsy, can be deadly if too much is consumed.

There have been reports of about five dogs have been sick and one that has died from the dog food. Evenger’s has voluntarily recalled the dog food Hunk of Beef as a precaution. If you have purchased the dog food brand, check on the  lot numbers that start with 1816E03HB, 1816E04HB, 1816E06HB, 1816E07HB, and 1816E13HB, and have an expiration date of June 2020. The second half of the barcode reads 20109, which can be found on the back of the product label.
