Sacramento Area Renters, Get Ready For Another Price Hike

Oy vey. You know that feeling when your lease is about to expire and you have to decide whether or not you want to renew it and you’re just hoping they won’t charge you more? Technically this has only happened to me once because I have moved every year since 2005. I’m crazy.

But, it’s going to happen again this spring and it seems like I, and most other renters in the Sacramento area, should just count on throwing some extra cash towards rent at the beginning of the month.

According to the Sacramento Business Journal, occupancy levels are averaging 97.4 in the area and to put it simply, an increase in occupancy allows people to raise rents prices because, well, people need a place to live.
