Kristian Bush Stepping Into The Spotlight

KNCI’s Golf and Guitars is proud to announce that among those attending this year’s event is Kristian Bush, who of course enjoyed huge success with Jennifer Nettles as one-half of Sugarland. And while they are currently both pursuing solo careers, Kristian insisted in a 2015 interview with that they haven’t officially split and that they could record music together again in the future.

Meantime though, Kristian has been on his own, having put out an excellent (if under-marketed) debut solo album, Southern Gravity in 2015. Have you heard anything from it?  There are some pretty great songs on there, including Forever Now, which was featured in the reality TV show Yes To the Dress.

There’s also a beautiful song on there he wrote for his two children. Kristian told that being a single dad comes with “…beautiful baggage. The song is a love song, and is a wish for what I want to happen” for his kids. But, he adds, “It’s [also] a thank you — I wanted to say thank you for what it feels like as a man when you’re in love.”

And he’s got a brand new song out. “Sing Along” is an atypical breakup song–it’s up-tempo, for starters, and has a positive twist to it– a sort of “Don’t be sad because it’s over, smile because it happened” kind of vibe. It is also his latest single and catchy as heck.

You’ll be able to hear Kristian perform these songs and a few others the night of May 16th, at our Golf and Guitars after-tournament concert. Tickets are only $35 and available now on our website’s main page. Get ’em!
