Kip Moore ended 2016 by saying he wanted to take a little break from work, which led fans to fear he wasn’t going to be recording new music or performing for a very long time. Only three months later, he has already announced that he’s “ready to go,” according to Nash Country Daily.
“That Error: Break shortcode syntax invalid got stretched a little bit. I just said that I was going to take a little break. I never meant that I was going to go away for a long long time,” the singer said.
Moore has been doing about 200 shows a year for the last six years, with only a week break in between each one. He wanted longer than a week off work this time to relax and go surfing.
“Three months off is a pretty long time for me. I didn’t know exactly know how long I was gonna take, but I pretty much finished the record before I left and so I was able to completely disconnect from it,” he said.
He is now back and better than ever with his new song “More Girls Like You.” We’re glad he’s feeling relaxed and ready to release new music!
