If you made it out to a River Cats’ game last season, you might remember filling out a fan survey. The good news is, the team at the stadium listened and has worked to implement new restaurants and fresh food items based on fan feedback.
Jeff Behr, manager of food and beverage with the team told the Sacramento Business Journal that “fans have been asking for something else…a lot of that has to do with fresh foods.”
You can expect more items to be made on site rather than coming from cans, a larger variety of actual stores rather than concessions, and some out of the box items such as a falafel burger. Plus, more Mexican fare, which was one of the biggest asks on the fan survey.
Don’t worry though, traditional baseball concessions like hot dogs and nachos are still going to be available! Variety is the spice of life.
