Carrie Underwood Reveals Embarrassing Childhood Secrets

Carrie Underwood has been a country superstar for years now, but she recently revealed that her life before making it big wasn’t so glamorous.

According to Taste of Country, Underwood has revealed in recent interviews some of her most embarrassing moments before achieving stardom.

In an interview with People, she revealed that her now perfect-looking teeth used to be really bad. In fact, she’s worn braces on her bottom teeth while on the red carpet on multiple occasions.

She also revealed the she ruined the natural shape of her eyebrows when she was younger in an attempt to mimic the thin eyebrow look of the 90s. She explained:

“Growing up in the ’90s I feel like the thin eyebrow was definitely a thing and I, like so many others, overdid it…..They never really grew back the way they were supposed to so now I am very happy that they do have eyebrow pencils, so I can fix what I did to myself when I was young.”

When it comes to her hair, she’s also had her fair share of problems. While she did suffer through a bad perm when she was 14, that was still better than her time in the sixth grade. She explained:

“Worst hair moment ever would probably be me in the sixth grade, where I decided that my bangs should have a crazy amount of gel. The rest of my hair didn’t.”

Finally, in an interview with Refinery 29, Underwood revealed her first job was at a gas station. However, she must have had a bad time working there because she’s never been back to it since she left.

Well there you have it folks! Even people as beautiful and talented as Carrie Underwood have struggled through awkward periods in their lives. We’re just happy she’s doing well and enjoying herself now!
