Breakout Artist Jade Jackson Hopes Her Lyrics Inspire

Breakout artist, Jade Jackson, made her presence known in the country world with her new album Gilded.

With one of the first lines of her album being “Don’t take no s*** from no one,” we know she isn’t going to be holding back on the 11 songs she wrote.

According to CMT, the singer loves to write about independence and positivity, which we really hear in her song “Finish Line.” She sings,

“So I won’t search for strength in someone else. ’Cause I can pat my own back by myself. Waking up for the first time. Is when you don’t stop running at the finish line.”

The music video for “Finish Line” takes place in her home town, Santa Margarita. The camera follows the singer and her band around, showing her life as she gets ready to head out on tour. Watching the singer in the small town that she grew up in really helps the audience get a better feel for where her lyrics are coming from.

By the age of 17, Jackson had written 375 songs. This album will be a collection of some of her best.

“It empowers me and makes me feel strong writing those lines. I hope my music can encourage people to follow their own dream.”

Jade Jackson’s new album, Gilded, will be available for purchase on May 19.
