2017 ACM Awards: Luke Bryan And Dierks Bentley Tease Huge Opening And A Surprise Collaboration

The Academy of Country Music Awards are tonight, and many country fans can’t wait to see what happens (us included)!

Perhaps the people most excited for the show are co-hosts Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan. According to The Boot, the pair teased what they have planned for the show at a press conference on Friday, and they struggled to hold back.

On the opening for the ceremony, Bryan described:

“We’re looking forward to the intro — the intro, the first six, seven minutes of [the show] is gonna be a lot of neat, special things happening and it’s gonna be good.”

Bentley went on to say that with all the musical performances and collaborations set to take place, they plan to make the show feel more like a party than a typical awards show.

Finally, they revealed that a surprise musical collaboration was going to take place:

“Ah, well, Dierks and I are teaming up with a rock icon to honor a rock icon, and that’s all I’m gonna say about that. Is that right?”” Bryan asked.

“That’s enough, right?” Bentley answered.

Who this mysterious rock icon is still unknown, but we’ll find out soon enough at 7 PM tonight!
