Hero SoCal Firefighter Saves Dog Using Mouth-To-Mouth CPR [Photos]

My freaking heart! This is why I always put the “Dogs Live Here” sticker in my window; so if anything happens hopefully the first responders will save my furry babies.

Huffington Post shares that Klein said no humans were inside the building that caught fire, but “[the dog] was totally lifeless. I picked him up and ran out of the apartment because time is key, especially with a small dog … Failure was not an option.”

The little guy spent 24 hours in an oxygen chamber, but made a full recovery and is back to his chipper self, according to his momma.

I would bake this firefighter cupcakes every week for the rest of his life if he saved my dog. I don’t know that everyone who came upon the scene would have gone the extra mile, but Andrew Klein did and he deserves that hero title.
