This is interesting. But I’d try it! The Atlanta Braves will soon serve a beer brewed with baseball bat shavings called the Chopsecutioner. The new brew is a take on an already popular Terrapin Beer Company IPA, the Hopsecutioner. How is it made?
“We brew the Chopsecutioner and after the fermentation we transfer the beer onto the wood chips and then cool the beer down and age it,” Brewmaster Brian Buckowski revealed. “There’s some waste from bats from when they spin them down or carve them down and that’s the product that we use to age the beer. The wood chips from them making the bats and that’s what we use.”
Cool! Sounds kind of gross, but it’s beer. Let’s not forget.
