Friends Of Injured Teen Create Hashtag And Get Garth Brooks’ Attention

If you tweet it, they will come. If you believe it, tweet it. Basically if you have a clever hashtag and enough support you can make anything happen! At least the was the case for a teen in Memphis who was injured after his truck flipped in route to a Garth Brooks concert.

Jake’s girlfriend told Fox 13 that he had “Two broken bones in his arm, he broke the biggest bone in his thigh, and he’s had surgeries.” She added that on his way into surgery he looked at her and, “He said he was so sorry we missed the concert.”

So family and friends took to the interwebs and started the hashtag #GarthBrooksGoSeeJake. While he didn’t make an appearance at the hospital, Garth DID send a crap ton of signed merch and Jake LOVED it.

“I was just shocked at as many things as he sent me,” Stroud told KNTV. “He didn’t have to do anything for me. I was just going to his concert. Shows what kind of person he is.”
