The deadline for taxes is here…have you submitted yours yet? Once you have, take a deep breath, relax, and head to one of the following franchises (plus National Parks) with locations in or near Sacramento for a tax day freebie!
Free Original Sandwich at Schlotzsky’s Deli: Schlotzsky’s, (which only has one location in this area that we can tell… in Placerville on Forni Road) is treating guests to a free Original Sandwich with a purchase of a medium drink and a bag of chips on April 18.
Firehouse Subs: Customers can get a free medium sub with the purchase of a medium or large sub, chips and drink with this coupon. The deal runs from Tuesday through Thursday.
Hooters: Hooters is offering free kids meals through Tuesday with the purchase of an adult entree. The deal is dine-in only and call ahead to make sure your location (locally that’s Natomas and Rancho Cordova) is participating.
Sonic Drive-In: In addition to offering milkshakes and ice cream slushes for half price after 8 p.m., Sonic Drive-in will have half-price cheeseburgers on Tuesday.
Free Entrance at National Parks: Besides being Tax Day, it’s also National Parks Week, which means you can get into any of the U.S. National Parks for free this coming weekend! We hear Yosemite is beautiful in spring. (Be sure to check with the National Park ahead of time. Some, like Lassen, may still closed due to heavy snow).
Free Curly Fries at Arby’s: Free curly fries on Tuesday, April 18 with no purchase required!
Two free Classic Bites at Cinnabon: Cinnabon is giving away two free Classic Bites, with no purchase or coupon required.
BOGO deals at McDonald’s: McDonald’s is offering several Tax Day specials that vary from franchise to franchise, including buy one get one Big Macs and Quarter Pounders with Cheese for 1 cent, 15 cents, or 25 cents; free small French fries; or 59-cent hamburgers. Call your local McDonald’s to confirm their offer.
$6 Margarita at Chili’s: Get $6 blueberry and pineapple margaritas all day on April 18 at participating Chili’s locations.
That’s the best we could find. If you know of a place that’s also giving us taxpayers a break tomorrow, let us know.
