Yet again, United is in the news. The airline has been under fire since they dragged a man off one of their flights after he refused to give up his seat. Now, a giant bunny has died while on one of their flights. Simon, the 10 month old, 3 foot bunny, formally belonged to a Playboy model.
Airlines have specific requirements about carrying animals while flying and typically keep the larger animals in their cargo hold where they claim has the same air pressure and temperature as the cabin.
According to ENews, the bunny had been checked by a vet just 3 hours before the flight and was in good health.
USA Today reported that more than one-third of all 136 animals who died on passenger flights during the last five years passed away on United Airlines planes.
This isn’t good news for the airline!
