Four Cases Of Botulism Have Been Linked To Sacramento Area Gas Station

Botulism is a pretty rare form of food poisoning, albeit a serious one, in the U.S. In fact, the story from KCRA cites Mayo Clinic as listing on 174 cases in 2015.

So, four cases in one area is a pretty big deal, plus there has been a fifth reported in the area as well.

According to KCRA, health officials have removed some equipment from Valley Oak Food and Fuel gas station in Walnut Grove. The gas station is also roped off.

If you ate prepared food from the Valley Oak Food and Fuel between April 23 through Sunday, May 7 and have experienced any symptoms ( paralysis, double vision, blurred vision, drooping eyelids, slurred speech, difficulty swallowing, dry mouth and muscle weakness) you should call your doctor ASAP.
