Officials Have Nailed Down The Cause Of Sacramento’s Botulism Outbreak

This bums me out because liquid cheese is one of my favorite things on the planet, and according to the Sacramento Bee, nacho cheese is likely the culprit of the crazy outbreak.

Five people contracted the rare, serious form of food poisoning from a gas station in Walnut Grove and are in serious condition.

The Bee says symptoms include “trouble breathing, blurry vision, slurred speech and droopy eyelids, and that about 5 to 10 percent of botulism cases are fatal, according to the World Health Organization.”
