Kobe Bryant Is Still An Assassin

Former NBA player-turned-ESPN commentator Jalen Rose has a pilot for an ABC sitcom that’s being shopped around called “Jalen Rose Vs. Everybody”. It’s being touted as a “Curb Your Enthusiasm”-style show that isn’t afraid to poke fun at its star. And if the promo for it is any indication, it could be really good.

Before you watch the clip below, you do need to know that in 2006, former Laker great Kobe Bryant had the biggest game of his career, scoring 81 points in a game against the Toronto Raptors….and Rose was guarding Kobe. Also know that in the years since, Rose has taken a lot of grief on social media for giving up 81 points (the 2nd most ever scored by an NBA player in a single game behind Wilt Chamberlain’s 100 in 1962) and hasn’t always taken it well; he’s been known to block people on Twitter who give him too bad a time about it, which gives the funny in this clip an especially tasty edge.

Now, knowing all that…? Watch the clip below and enjoy.
