Indoor Farmers Market Coming To Downtown—And They’ll Serve Booze!

Raley’s has started construction on a new natural foods store in the R Street corridor, according to the Sacramento Bee.

The 11,000 square foot space, called Market 5-One-5, is described by Raley’s CEO as an indoor farmers market that will also sell “alcoholic beverages within the grocery store, including wine, beer, and distilled spirits.”

The space is part of the Raley’s umbrella but is going to be operated independently of it. It is expected to open later this year and also contain a bakery, deli, food prep area and seating.
