Midtown’s First Permanent Dog Park Opens One Month From Today [Photos]

My dog’s are kind of jerks, so I don’t know if I will be taking them to the park. Is it weird to just go without your dog? I don’t care; I’m doing it.

The new .72 acre park—Truitt Bark Park—located at 19th and Q Streets will officially open to residents on July 29 and include separate off-leash sections for larger dogs and smaller pups, with a ton of shade and drought resistant landscaping, as well as a public plaza and community garden.

Your pup can get a portrait in front of a Sacramento-themed backdrop, and compete in a cutest dog contest (so maybe I WILL bring my pitty) and you can buy stuff from local merchants at the grand opening on July 29 from 9 am – noon.

Save the date: SATURDAY, JULY 29! 🎉🐶🎉🐶 Event link in our bio. #TruittBarkPark #916DogFriendly
