I don’t like anything about this story. Remember all that rain we had earlier this year that was great for the state and officially brought California out of the drought? Well, apparently it is about to lead to a huge uptick in spiders.
Spider ecologist and educator Linda Erickson told KCRA , “When there is ample moisture in the air, a greater number of eggs and spiderlings are able to survive.”
Normally Linda disagrees with the theory that more spiders come with seasonal changes, but she is jumping on board with it this time around because of all of the recent rain.
I’m going to go live in a bubble now. Byeeeeeeeee.
