UPDATE: Alfred Angelo closed its locations nationwide last week and left brides-to-be in the wind. Many had purchased dresses but not yet received them and were unsure if they would ever get them or get their money back.
The store has since issues an apology, posting the following on their website:
“We apologize for the inconvenience and hardship resulting from this event. We appreciate your patience. Thank you.”
They have also told customers to contact Margaret Smith with questions at email@example.com.
Something tells me Margaret won’t be going on vacation any time soon…
Alfred Angelo bridal shop has locations nationwide, one of which is in the Roseville Galleria. Apparently they closed without warning yesterday after going bankrupt and left a sign in their main store suggesting that brides-to-be should contact a law firm.
Many customers are panicking, understandably so, as they have paid for their dresses and not yet received them, or had scheduled alterations for their upcoming wedding and are now hung out to dry.
There is a sliver of good news though, as David’s Bridal has stepped up to the plate to help out by offering Angelo’s customers 30 percent off (which adds up on a wedding dress) and free rush alterations.
