This closing doesn’t seem to be as much of a bummer as other recent closures downtown. Mostly because they space is still being used by the owners, just in a different capacity.
Downtown & Vine has been serving wine and food since 2012, and two years ago they added Harvest Bar as a healthier grab and go option for people who worked/visited downtown during the day.
However, there wasn’t a ton of traffic during the day, so the owners have decided to part ways with the cafe and focus more on wine and using the space for meetings.
The Sacramento Business Journal says that the change will open up the space and make it a better option for meetings, catered events, and dinners, which owner Kate Chomko says is “what the community here needs.”
