The Ohio State Fair is currently underway, but this year it is undoubtedly, and sadly, going to be remembered for the malfunction of the Fire Ball ride. People were thrown from the ride, resulting in the death of an 18-year-old male and severe injuries to seven others.
Upon hearing the news, the California State Fair immediately shut down their version of the ride, and an inspector with a third party that works with the fair told KCRA that unless the factory itself calls and says the ride is okay to run, it will remain closed.
The malfunction was caught on video, which you can see here.
According to Heavy, Tyler Jarrell was the young man who was killed on the ride. He had just graduated from Franklin Heights High School and enlisted in the Marines.
