American Idol season 1 million (just kidding, it’s season 16) is shaping up nicely. So far we know that Katy Perry is a judge and that Ryan Seacrest will return as the show’s host, but there are still two judge seats that need to be filled.
Lionel Richie’s name has been out there for a while, and according to TMZ, he is still considered a front-runner, along with Charlie Puth. If you haven’t heard of Charlie, he is a really talented song-writer and musician with a really recognizable voice.
However, Keith Urban’s name is still being tossed around in case something doesn’t work out with those two. AND another country superstar is reportedly in the mix after impressing the producers earlier in the year.
Apparently Luke Bryan is a contender for a spot, which makes sense, because he is charming as all get out and killed it whenever he was on the Voice.
Remember though, TMZ was pretty sure Kelly Clarkson was going to join the show and that didn’t happen. They are usually pretty well-informed though, so I guess we will just have to continue playing the Wait and See game.
