Well, it looks as if these little piggies didn’t survive the fire after all.
Fire fighters from Pewsey, a village in the U.K., were called to put out a rancher’s fire that was engulfing his bar. The men eventually put out the fire and saved 18 piglets, who were tiny and adorable.
The animals were given a six-month stay of execution when they were rescued from the farm at Milton Lilbourne.
However, farm manager Rachel Rivers thanked the Pewsey fire team by slaughtering and delivering the pigs as sausages, to which the group BBQ’d them.
The fire department posted pictures of the pigs after the rescue and then after they were cooked 6 months later. However, it has since been taken down after people took offense to it.
“In regard to a recent post on this page. We recognise that this has caused some offence to some – we apologise for this and as such have removed the post,” it said.
BBC has the “before” and “after” pictures and more on the story.
