After An Ownership Change & Foreclosure, Midtown Bar Plans A Comeback

In January of this year, the bar formerly known as Alley Katz found itself under new ownership, which came with a new green exterior and a new name; Bunker Bar and Grill.

However, in June, Bunker was forced to close its doors after the building went into foreclosure because the landlord was behind on taxes and mortgage payments, which also affected the liquor license, according to Fox 40. No liquor license, no bar.

The building was sold at auction, and according to the Sacramento Business Journal, Alley Katz is making a return to 2019 O Street. The building has received a new bright red coat of paint and it’s famous sign is looking better than ever.

I am not sure on a target opening, or I guess re-opening date, but more on the story as it develops.
