Eclipse-Watchers Head To Hospital After Using Sunscreen On Their Eyes

Don’t use sunscreen on your eyeballs!

While this might sound like common sense, it clearly wasn’t known by these Californian eclipse-watchers…..

According to Live Science, some Californians visited their doctors after trying to protect their eyes with sunscreen when viewing the eclipse. The people reportedly lacked the necessary glasses that allow safe eclipse watching, and they assumed sunscreen would work instead.

Unfortunately, not only is sunscreen an unsafe way to view the eclipse, sunscreen labels also warn users not to put it in their eyes because of the irritation and pain it can cause.

Hopefully none of the people suffered any significant eye damage…..
