RedRover is no stranger to emergency situations, in fact, that is why they exist. The Sacramento-based organization focuses on rescuing and sheltering animals in crisis around the country, and according to the Sacramento Bee, they will work with the SPCA of Texas to care for pets and farm animals displaced by Hurricane Harvey.
Volunteers are located throughout the US and are planning to arrive this Thursday. They will provide care to animals who have been evacuated, which includes shelter, food, walks, and comfort during a stressful situation.
RedRover has been around for 30 years and successfully provided aid during Hurricane Katrina and the recent Oroville evacuation among other crises.
