Breakfast Joint In Midtown Gets Shut Down After 50+ Years In Business

An eviction notice dated August 30 hangs on the door of Lucky Cafe, according to the Sacramento Bee. Employees told reporters that the first notice they received was last week. Now, the previous phone number no longer works and the inside is dark and empty.

The Bee goes on to say that the diner was originally located on 5th and J streets, but moved to their 21st Street location in 1962.

Like a lot of old-school style diners, the reviews on Yelp! were mixed at best for Lucky Cafe, but some people swore by their giant breakfasts and atmosphere.
