If you are a Verizon customer, you might be familiar with their Smart Rewards program which lets you use points for discounts on various items and in online auctions. Well, this service is about to be replaced by Verizon Up, according to Mashable.
Verizon Up will give you one reward for every $300 spent, and that includes your monthly bill. According to Verizon, enrolled customers will have access to front row concert tickets and other rewards from Apple Music, Uber rides, sports gear, coffee and more.
You have to also be signed up for Verizon Selects, which lets Verizon track your data and then sell ads based on said data. That means that they will be in the background for all of your activity, including when you use the web, apps, and your location.
I like free stuff, but this is too similar to Parks and Rec when Gryzzl sent Ron’s baby a drone full of baby items.
