Back in 1998, when Disney released Mulan, they debuted a new chicken dipping sauce called Szechuan Sauce. People went nuts for it, but like a lot of cult favorites, McDonald’s pulled the sauce.
It was eventually featured in an episode of the cartoon Rick and Morty, which caused the company to release just three bottles of the sauce which went for $15,000 on eBay.
Well, if you missed out on your chance to get the Szechuan Sauce (or you know, you just didn’t have 15 grand to spend on it), you have another change.
According to Delish, this Saturday starting at 2 p.m., participating McDonald’s restaurants will include Szechuan Sauce with orders of 4, 6 or 10-piece Buttermilk Crispy Tenders, while supplies last. Oh, and it says dine-in only.
Now the bad news…there is only one McDonald’s in Sacramento apparently that is giving it away, at least according to the tracker. You can always try your luck elsewhere though, or keep checking to see if it gets updated.
So if you have to have your Szechuan Sauce, make sure to visit the location at 7800 Walerga Rd., 95824.
